The workshop  provides a theoretical overview on common food pathogens and rapid methods for pathogen detection and quantification, as well as hands on experience on PCR and real-time PCR methods for food pathogen analysis.
As an additional and free offer, participants are invited to join the research management training on “Collaborative project development FP 7 – Hands on grant writing”

  • Introduction to PCR methods
  • Real-time PCR
  • Principles of FP7 project development

 

 

Experimental work:

  • Sample preparation and DNA extraction
  • Qualitative PCR
  • Quantitative analysis by real-time PCR
  • Data analysis, expression and interpretation of results
