The training, jointly organised by MoniQA and HEALTHGRAIN, offered interested parties the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge on components formed during thermal processing in foods. Health beneficial compounds like e.g antioxidants were covered as well as unwanted compounds like e.g. Acrylamide. By means of two selected analytes (Acrylamide, Hydroxymethylfurfural) different aspects of the analysis from sample preparation (extraction, concentration, clean up) to measurement (LC-MS, LC-UV) were analysed in theoretical and practical sessions. In the context of the training a research management skills module dealt with "Marie Curie Actions" and how to successfully apply for one of these mobility scholarships.
The 5 day training was open for MoniQA members, HEALTHGRAIN members, associated partners and external participants.
