Food Allergens Working Group news: gluten labeling

Following Codex Alimentarius the EU agreed on gluten levels. According to the EU regulation 41/2009/EC, dietetic foods which contain one or more ingredients with gluten but which have been specifically processed to reduce the level of gluten to below 100 mg/kg shall bear the label "very low gluten" and the same products with a gluten level below 20 mg/kg may bear the label "gluten-free".
